IN THE STYLE OF KATRANTZOU As you already know from our last postWe will be looking at ways for you to create a
inspired Mary Katrantzou look based on her artistic designs.
And we have come across this amazing video from Grazia on how Mary Katrantzou makes and styles her dresses from her inspiration to the pysical design.
Mary Katrantzou is know as the 'Queen of Prints' and therefore we have decided to draw insparation from her designs, which we have found in the increasingly popular nail art designs.
It feels like christmas has just come and gone again with all this excitment over the big reveal but don't feel blue we have some inspiration making its way to you.
Which we like to call,
IN THE STYLE OF KATRANTZOU
We have been gathering inspiration based on Mary Katrantzou's past collections, we wanted to share with you a few of our favourite things, so before you run to the hills and start singing have a little look into her collections and designs. As we are creating her new fashion show we want to look back at what you liked and what worked well and what didnt.
Here is a video of Mary Katrantzou's Spring/Summer 2012 collection, which we absoultely adore, the colours and designs are simply majestic, let us know what you liked about it.

We also love that she incorporates art and design into her pieces. Including stamps, paintings from various cultural backgrounds amoung other cutural aspects which she then merges the designs together to create patterned masterpieces. As she has been dubed 'The Queen of Print'
Here is a shot from one of her dresses using a stamp design.
Our last but deffinately not least favourite thing about mary katrantzous designs is her, garment structure and focus on architetural design within her clothing.

1. The Chevron Bracelet
Sourced whollykao.com 18/1/2013
The tutorial calls for rope twine; or leather lacing and hex nuts that you can probably get at any hardware or habidashery store. Then braid the entire length of the bracelet adding them on as you go, and put a clasp on the end of the bracelet or continue to braid without the hex nuts to get an extra bracelet effect.

A certain mystery Greek Born designer who works with bold and bright prints burst into the fashion sphere with "embossed designs of over sized and baroque-style jewelry" patterns on dresses.
Not to shabby for a Central St Martins Graduate eh?
And that's just the dresses try her real jewelry collection forget the wise men its all about Joseph bejeweling your "wildest technicolor dreams with her gold metal cuffs and candy-colored necklaces."
